Throw in the spring at Critter Barn

Visit us at the 2021 Spring Fling! 3rd-10th April, open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., closed on Sundays. Meet the spring babies: ducklings, chicks, rabbits, lambs, children and calves! Experience the changing seasons in the Critter Barn. See the precious new life in the barn and mothering skills of the current Critter Barn animals. Be sure that you, your family and friends are part of this amazing time in the barn.

iPad photography at Fredrick Meijer Gardens

10:00 am – 11:30 am

Take an iPad photography class with Fredrick Meijer Gardens that will teach you how to use the Book Creator app to combine text, images, audio and video into a fun digital keepsake. Capture creative still life and embellish it with unique props, action shots, trick shots and videos from Meijer Gardens. iPads are provided for use in class.

Spring break at the Outdoor Discovery Center

Spend your spring break at the Outdoor Discovery Center studying a wide variety of animals and plants that are native to Michigan. This camp is for children ages 7-11. YMCA Spring Break Day Camps

April 5 – April 9, 2021

Day campers will enjoy activities such as sports, crafts, and outdoor games. Every day is filled with new experiences as each child explores new talents and interests, building and strengthening friendships in the process.

Pop-up drive-in with Celebration Cinema

BRICKLIVE Supersized! | John Ball Zoo

Be the first to see all of your favorite Supersized animals at the John Ball Zoo. A larger than life animal adventure with sculptures made from almost 2 million toy bricks can be found in a new exhibition around the John Ball Zoo. Check out these fun sculptures throughout Spring Break.

Blandford Nature Center fun!

Check out the Blandford Nature Center this spring. They have tons of outdoor activities for you to have fun in the great outdoors. Some of their events include bird watching basics for kids, amazing forts in the forest, and spring walks and handicrafts. Spend your spring break getting in touch with nature and getting some fresh air.

Fred & Dorothy Fichter butterflies bloom | Frederik Meijer Gardens

Fredrick Meijer Gardens will host their Butterflies and Blooming event. This year, over 60 species of butterflies from Asia, Africa, and Central and South America will fly in the warm, lush surroundings of the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory. This year’s theme will highlight horticulture, butterflies, moths and caterpillars in and under glass. Check out the extended hours for all of April and the Tuesday night lights to look for butterflies in the dark. Prices are $ 4 for children; $ 14.50 for adults.

Spring break at the Grand Rapids Public Museum

Spend the spring break at the Grand Rapids Public Museum from April 2nd to 11th. Enjoy live science shows, fascinating exhibits and planetarium shows, as well as a festive dining experience with a food truck from ART: Caribbean Fusion Cuisine and a selection of drinks and beers from Stadtbuilt Brewery.
