Dollie Solanki conjures up girls of all age-groups together with her way of life weblog ‘The Bombay Brunette’

Blogs have become very popular over the past decade as people turn to them for unbiased and honest opinions and reviews. Lifestyle blogs in particular are enjoying growing popularity and have earned recognition for many bloggers and influencers in the digital space. One such blog is (originally Indian Shringar) started by Dollie Solanki, an established blogger who started her blogging journey in 2012. As a mother of two young children, she started her blog as a creative medium and to demonstrate her passion for beauty, lifestyle and travel.

The concept of blogging is very popular with young people today and Dollie has inspired many amateur bloggers with her work. It was in 2017 that she decided to redesign her blog. “After blogging for five years, I decided to give my blog a more contemporary and chic avatar. So ‘Indian Shrinagar’ became ‘The Bombay Brunette’ which makes it more understandable to the millennial audience,” said Dollie. While her love of makeup was already present as a child, playing with her mother’s makeup, her passion for skin care was fueled when she learned French and started reading French, Elle and Vogue. For this reason, in the time before the blog, she was the contact person for product reviews and recommendations among her friends. Even on the blog, Dollie not only sells the product, but explains her personal experiences to followers in an unbiased way.

While ‘The Bombay Brunette’ was the ultimate destination for all fashion, beauty and travel lovers, Dollie juggles many different roles. As well as being a practical mom, she’s also an entrepreneur who opened her own Pilates and physiotherapy center. When asked how she juggles between her personal and professional life, Dollie said, “It’s all about the discipline you follow and the priorities you set. It’s difficult and sometimes the blog takes a backseat to personal responsibility, but I really love juggling all of the different roles I play. “

As a blogger, Dollie has worked with some of the best brands in those eight years. ‘The Bombay Brunette’ is all about beauty, fashion, and travel and you can find some of the best beauty videos made by Dollie on its Instagram page. As a mom and successful blogger, Dollie broke the stereotype that women can’t work after becoming mothers. She says age is just a number and women of all ages can have fun with their makeup and outfits. For her work, she was recognized as one of the best beauty bloggers in India and received the Best Beauty & Skin Blog of India Award at the prestigious WIN15 Blogging Awards.
